Lupine Lighting Systems was founded in 1993. The initial idea was brought by a competitor who build one of the first rechargeable bike lights. Back in 1993 this unnamed product utilized a heavy Pb (Lead acid) battery, a simple on/off switch and gave a very yellow light. Many days and nights passed and after several nightrides with his friends Wolf, the founder of Lupine, stated "I can do it better".

With that in mind, today Lupine is a well known and established brand, selling lights all over the globe. The lights improved with the years but the philosophy stayed the same. Build the best lights; stay compatible and interchangeable with old and new products, without the use of any adapters. The very first Lupine light made will operate with a brand new Lupine battery.
